Privacy

Last updated: 9 October 2026

In short: DiabetesHub Ireland has no accounts, no advertising and no sign-up forms. We do not ask for your name, email address or health details.

Your journal and settings

If you use the journal, your entries, blood sugar readings, progress ticks and light or dark choice are saved only in your own browser, on your own device. They are not sent to us or to any server. Clearing your browser data, or using a different device, will remove them.

Visitor statistics

We may use privacy-friendly website statistics, such as Cloudflare Web Analytics, to see how many people visit and from which countries. This does not use cookies and does not identify you personally.

Hosting and security

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any website, the host may keep standard technical logs, such as your IP address, for security and to keep the site running.

Links to other sites

This site links to other organisations, such as the HSE, Diabetes Ireland and Facebook. They have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for what they do with your information.

Not medical advice

DiabetesHub Ireland provides information and support only. Always speak to your diabetes healthcare team about medical decisions. In an emergency, call 112 or 999.

Suggestions and thank you messages

The Share and Say Thanks page does not collect or store anything. If you choose to send a message, it goes by email from your own email app to [email protected]. If you add an email address to a suggestion, we use it only to reply or check a detail with you, and we never share or publish it. We use messages only to reply and to improve the site. A thank you is only shared on the site if you give permission, and then with a first name or initials only.
